Filigree Steampunk Butterfly Necklace

Special edition filigree butterfly

Dazzle their Eyes with this Enticing Pendant!

I love putting crystals and insects (the pretty ones) on my steampunk creations. Insects were a common feature on Victorian and Georgian jewelry.  I am drawn to the juxtaposition of sparkle and whimsy with the industrial look of the old time pieces.

Happiness is a butterfly,

which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp,

but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.

  Nathaniel Hawthorne

A lacy silver butterfly, entranced by glistening Swarovski crystals,  rests on an upcycled vintage watch movement.

For a long period this lovely filigree setting was unavailable and I was unable to make this necklace.  Many customers have asked that it could be in stock again. I am very pleased that it has become available.

The watch I upcycle for this pendant was once worn on a gentleman’s wrist.  Watches were serviceable tools,  necessary and valued.

The movement used in this filigree steampunk butterfly necklace is named Slava.

The word translates to Glory in English.

Swarovski 'Paradise Shine' Crystals

This filigree steampunk butterfly necklace features a fancy antiqued silver setting.

Your steampunk pendant will arrive complete with an 18″ rhodium plated stainless steel rope chain with lobster clasp.

Choose your favourite colour of Swarovski crystal when checking out.

Please expect the watch movement, placement of the little butterfly and Swarovski crystals to vary somewhat as no two are exactly the same.

I have handcrafted this pendant with great attention to detail.

This unique piece of jewelry will arrive nicely boxed for gift giving and will be shipped within 3 business days.

I was asked by a customer at a recent craft show:

“Why do your crystals sparkle like that?”

“Because I only use Swarovski crystals”

Swarovski makes the finest and most brilliant of all man-made crystals!
